FFRD 2024 CALL FOR PROJECTS CLOSED!

 

The FFRD has closed its 12th call for projects and thanks all the applicants.

Nearly 40 French-speaking applicants submitted a proposal, including:

  • 14 out of France, 12 from provinces and around ten from Paris
  • 6 Suiss, 5 Canadians, 2 Belgians et 1 Senegalese!

Research for international experts for opinion is ongoing.

Next step: analyis of the files by these renowned experts.

President’s foreword

Diabetes mellitus affects 5% of the French population and is a major burden for the persons living with this chronic disease, with potentially serious complications and high costs induced. Major and continuous improvements have been made for a botter understanding of the mechanisms of the disease and its complications, and for its monitoring and treatment as well.

The FFRD supports all research on diabetes.

The FFRD supports clinical, basic, and translational research.

The supported basic research projects address major themes of type 1 and type 2 diabetes

covering subjects such as pancreatic beta cells, insulin resistance, and intestinal microbiota.

The clinical research projects, on the other hand, address the themes of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as gestational diabetes

and often involve large multicenter cohort studies.
